Am i correct in thinking that Treasure Hunt and Psychosis Crawler is NOT a combo?

Asked by Vicanic 13 years ago

Treasure Hunt says 'put the cards in your hand.' that wouldnt be the same as drawing so Psychosis Crawler wouldn't trigger, correct?

you are right, you reveal and put the card in to your hand you don't draw them. so Psychosis Crawler would get his "power up" but the opponents life would be safe.

Thats what I thought. Just trying to save my brother from spending time playtesting a deck that doesn't work XD

It's not a bad idea, though, as long as you use other cards. As Legendinc pointed out, card:Blue Sun's Zenith would be excellent for this. On a non-rare level, there's cards like card:Jace's Ingenuity and Foresee that allow for multiple card-drawing in Standard, and of course out of Standard there's Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind who would be great pals with the Crawler.

i think Treasure Hunt might be a good utility card for the combo. It would make the Psychosis Crawler a big beater for a turn if nothing else. But with a bunch of card draw and maybe a couple other artifact creatures, it could be a deadly combo.

Mind Spring would also work out of standard

and you can't forget about JTMS brainstorm ability.

Treasure Hunt and Psychosis Crawler might not work in the sense of losing life but it will work in the sense that if you draw 19 cards, you have a 19/19 out that you kan attack with... if you guys would, i would appreciate if you can check out my combo deck deck:best-4-bucks-ive-spent-on-a-deck. its not quite the same but uses both of those cards as one of the main combos. its pretty genius if i say so myself...
