Are you still dealt damage if you have a Platinum Emperion?

If you control a Platinum Emperion and an opponent attacks you with a creature whose ability triggers when it deals damage to a player, such as Thada Adel, Acquisitor, and the creature isn't blocked, does the ability trigger?
Yes; Platinum Emperion does not prevent damage.
Attacking creature deals damage, your life total does not change, and the creature's ability then triggers.

Note that because of this, the Emperion trumps Leyline of Punishment .

To my knowledge yes, creatures and spells can still deal damage, but they won't cause your life total to change. So he won't protect you from poison counters either.
