Can I redirect Myr Battlesphere's triggered ability to a Planeswalker?

Can I redirect the damage from myr-batllesphere's second ability to target an opponent's Ajani Goldmane ?
I believe the answer to your question is, yes. For the fact is the Myr Battlesphere 's second ability states deal X damage to target defending player when X is the untapped myrs you tapped. In the rules of MTG it states that Planeswalkers in themselves are players.

famzim13, no place in the rules does it state that a planeswalker is a player. The only similarity between a planeswalker and a player is that they can both be attacked during combat. For instance, you cannot target a planeswalker for direct damage, but rather redirect damage from a targeted player.

the thought that a planeswalker is, and acts as, a player seems to be a common misconception.
I wish there was an easier way for WotC to clarify these rulings on a large scale!

I don't believe the rules are that unclear. I think players just (wrongly) associate the ability to be attacked to being a player.

Ya. I just have retarded players at my card shop. With no official judge

question, is there any real difference between redirecting the damage to a planeswalker and dealing it right to the planes walker, i dont see why it has to be redirected, it has the same effect as if it were direct right?

Yes.
306.7. If noncombat damage would be dealt to a player by a source controlled by an opponent, that opponent may have that source deal that damage to a planeswalker the first player controls instead.
