Can i return a land i tapped to pay for deprive to my hand to pay its additional cost

yeah... not much more to the question that the title.

i guess the question comes down to triggers and if all of the cost triggers have to go through. i'm pretty sure that since i can tap lands to add to my mana pool at any point before the casting of a spell and that mana stays in my mana pool until the end of turn that i should be able to return a land i tapped like say oh idk Halimar Depths , the best land ever to return with Deprive

Yes, Deprive 's text says "return a land", not "return an untapped land".

Relating to playing spells:

601.2g The player pays the total cost in any order.

You can tap the lands for mana, including Halimar Depths , then return any land you control to your hand, such as the tapped Halimar Depths .

@doinitwrong the question was about how the timing of the casting cost had to be paid.
