Can Necrotic Ooze and Myr Propagator work?

Asked by k0o808 13 years ago

The Myr ability has an activation cost and my understanding is that its name implies "itself" rather than the actual Myr card, so I believe it should be legal but I'd like confirmation.

From the Magic Comp Rules:

201.4b If an ability of an object refers to that object by name, and an object with a different name gains that ability, all instances of the first name in the gained ability should be treated as the second name.

So it works exactly as you think, you'll create copies of the Ooze for 3 and a tap.
