Asked by Legendinc 14 years ago
This is a two part question
1) Can Vampire Hexmage remove counters from players?
2) Is there any card in the whole of Magic: The Gathering, that can remove poison counters from a player?

poison counters came out in The Dark, one of the worst sets ever (along with Homelands). Marsh Viper was the card. The decision to make infect is, in my opinion, the worst idea ever. When it was just 1 card and you had to hit with it 5 times, ok, but when you have lots of different creatures and the # of poison counters is based purely on the creature's power, that's stupid. One creature hit, howl from beyond, game. Especially in EDH, where you start with 40 life and can still die from 1 hit from a single creature with low casting cost plus a little bit of power boost (and there are hundreds of ways to do that as an instant), that's ridiculous.

Question #1) No, being that a player is not a permanent, you cannot remove counters from players.
Question #2) I don't know but I will try to find out. That is a very good question. But as far as I know, I have never heard of a cards that does that.
