Can you pay kicker costs if a spell isn't played from your hand?

For example, if your Galvanoth turned up an Unstable Footing or a Burst Lightning , could you kick it if you had the mana open?
do you have to pay for the kicker if it is cast of Galvanoth ?

Yes, a kicker is an additional cost to casting a spell. Galvanoth only covers the mana coast, not kickers.

Yes, you may kick if the spell is "cast", as it would be by Galvanoth .
