Can you play a land after your first mainphase?

If you didn't put down a land in your main phase and you use a spell to get a land into your hand could you out it down in your secondary main phase?

Siegfried's correct. You can drop a land during any main phase as long as you haven't used up your land drop for the turn (or you have extra drops granted, like through Explore ).
Though I think you get this, just to be thorough - note that your combat phase doesn't work for the drop. If you want to put down a land during combat (to trigger landfall as a combat trick, say) you'd have to use an ability on a permanent on the field that said you could, for instance that of Walking Atlas .

Putting a land from your hand onto the battlefield essentially happens at sorcery speed, though it doesn't use the stack. So yes.

Yes. You have 1 free land drop a turn, which you can do in either main phase
