Can you regenerate something that goes to the graveyard due to the legend rule?

If I have a Mox Opal and a Welding Jar on the battlefield, if I play another Mox Opal, can I sacrifice the Welding Jar to regenerate one of the Mox Opals?

Nope.

(To justify my answer...

420.5e If two or more permanents with the same name have the supertype legendary, all are put into their owners' graveyards. This is called the "legend rule." If only one of those permanents is legendary, this rule doesn't apply.

I.E., they're not 'destroyed', so regenerating doesn't save them. When legendaries see each other they just go directly to the graveyard, no shenanigans around it. You don't even get to tap in response to it happening, so you don't get two mana from the opals first. You could tap the one opal, THEN play the second but they'd both blow up at that point and you'd never get to tap the new one for a second mana.)

Thank you for clearing that up, I guess it works the same way with a Lotus Petal huh? Can't regenerate because it was sacrificed?
