Can you sac Throne of Geth to itself

I have heard about people doing this, but since the cost is to sac an artifact, how would the throne be around to proc?

Yes, the ability goes on the stack before Throne of Geth dies.

Yes.

112.7a Once activated or triggered, an ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Destruction or removal of the source after that time won't affect the ability.
