can you use Inferno Titan to hit the same opponent for 1 three times?

i wanna see if card:Chandra's Spitfire can become a 10/3 with one attack by Inferno Titan .

Inferno Titan creates one damage effect. You pick up to 3 targets for it, then divide the 3 damage as you choose among them. This is a one time effect, not 3 separate effects.

So the most your Spitfire can get from any individual Inferno Titan trigger is +3/+0.

@jimmuh: that is correct for a 1v1 match. but in a multiplayer game such as a free for all with four players the spitfire could easily get +9/+0 from one titan.
