Question on Copperhorn Scout mechanics

Asked by zigkid3 14 years ago

so here's the set up. lets assume i have 3 Birds of Paradise out, 5 Forest s and 1 Copperhorn Scout , then i have Untamed Might in my hand.

i know you can declare attack and then use Untamed Might since its an instant, but my question is slightly more complex.

so can i tap my 5 Forest s for 5 mana, then tap my 3 Birds of Paradise for 3 more mana, then declare i'm attacking with Copperhorn Scout so my birds untap and tap them again for 3 more mana for a total of 11 mana and then use Untamed Might on Copperhorn Scout to attack for 10 damage?

11 damage i mean since it's 10 + her own 1/1 counter

Yes... if you time it properly. You would have to produce all your mana in the declare attack step, because with the game mechanics now, all mana leaves the pool at the end of each "step."

and she does not have her own 1/1 counter. It has a power of 1 and a toughness of 1. Big difference.
