do cards that reduce the casting cost of two types or creatures by 1 reduce a creature of both types by 2?

I think the wording here makes it only reduce by one... The reason being that it doesn't say: "Kithkin spells cost you 1 less. (period) Soldier spells cost you 1 less." Paraphrased, I know, but that would be a situation where it reduced for each type. That said I believe a kithkin soldier will be reduced by a total of one colorless mana.

Hey, crazy. For question one, your kithkin soldier at 2,W would be castable at 1,W with the Banneret. In order for you to be able to cast it for just W, it would need to say this:

"Kithkin spells you cast cost 1 less to cast.

Soldier spells you cast cost 1 less to cast."

Because instead it says "Kithkin and soldier spells you cast cost 1 less to cast," that's only one ability, and only applies once to creatures that are Kithkin OR soldiers, but with no double bonus. If you split it up into two sentences, as above, you enable the double bonus.

For question two, put double square brackets (brackets are the things to the right of the P key on your keyboard) around any card name, deck name, or user name, to create a linked version.

It depends on the card in question. If the effect is one line, like say Bosk Banneret, than because the effect is all as one static ability "All treefolk and shaman cost 1 less to play" it only reduces a Treefolk Shaman like Leaf-Crowned Elder by 1, not 2.

A card like Grand Arbiter Agustin the Fourth, which has, ON TWO SEPERATE LINES! White spells you play cost one less to play, and Blue spells you play cost one less to play, a blue AND white creature or spell costs 2 less, because it is two seperate abilities.

Good example by hamburgers: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV DOES give the double bonus because there are two sentences.

KrazeyCaley has it right, in that Ballyrush Banneret will only reduce the cost of a kithkin soldier by one.
