Does Emrakul, the Aeons Torn's protection protect him from colored abilties that prevent a player from sacrificing permanents?

If a card states that its controller does not have to sacrifice creatures, Does this effect still work On Emrakul Of Aeon thorns protection from all colors? Would my annihlator 6 ability still go through due to protection or would nothing happen?

I'm assuming your Emrakul, the Aeons Torn went against a Tajuru Preserver . Tajuru Preserver s ability has a global effect for that player and thus, renders Eldrazi Annihilator effects useless. Also, a note on Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , his "protection from colored spells" ability only works for him and against colored spells. Global destructions and abilities like Day of Judgment and Skinrender still effect him. So do indirect exiles, such as Journey to Nowhere , and sacrifice abilities like Consuming Vapors .

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn only has protection from colored spells. Spells is an important qualifier that means that anything that has resolved and is a permanent can target, do damage, etc to emrakul this is why Journey to Nowhere can remove emrakul because the trigger is enters the battle field at which point the enchantment spell is a permanent and emrakul has no protection against colored permanents.

Could you reference the card that states that is controller does not have to sacrifice creatures?

also since 702.83b If a creature has multiple instances of annihilator, each triggers separately.

If they only have 4 permanents and one is a permanent that says that creatures can't or don't have to be sac'd, if they have to sac that one as one of the permanents then the other annihilator triggers still go through after that permanent as been sacrificed.

When thinking of Protection from X abilities, always remember DEBT

D- can't be DAMAGED by sources having the quality X

E- can't be ENCHANTED or EQUIPPED by sources having the quality X

B- can't be BLOCKED by sources having the quality X

T- can't be TARGETED by sources having the quality X

That's all it does for you.
