does phasing automatically occur or by choice?

building an ally deck, and trying to figure out the best way to keep getting the ally bonuses.
so if i have Cloak of Invisibility on an ally, does it automatically phase in and out every untap phase? or can i chose to phase it out or in when i want it to?
I don't believe that phasing in counts as the creature entering the battlefield, however. This is because of the land card:Teferi's Isle. if phasing did count as entering the battlefield, this land would always be tapped.

In an ally deck, use things like Venser, the Sojourner , Momentary Blink , Turn to Mist and cards of the sort.

Correct. A creature phasing in is not entering the battlefield, so you wouldn't get any ally triggers.

Phasing always happens at the beginning of turn unless you play a spell to make something phase, i.e. Reality Ripple , Time and Tide , Vision Charm , and/or Vodalian Illusionist . Otherwise, you have no influence on the matter.
