Does the effect of Boon Reflection stack?

Asked by shamanicgreen 13 years ago

For example Say i have 2x Boon Reflection on the field and gain 4 life, do I then gain 16 life (4 life doubled, then doubled again) or only 8 life?

i'm not exactly sure the wording of this ruling but

The effects of multiple Boon Reflections are cumulative. For example, if you have three Boon Reflections on the battlefield, you'll gain eight times the original amount of life

Legend's correct; for each Boon Reflection, you get to exponentiate.

all the affects of the Boon Reflection s will activate simulateously, but they still go on the stack in the order you decide (because they're your enchantments, and you're the active player). It doesn't matter in which order your put them on the stack. The fact is, they do go on the stack. Meaning that you gain double, doubled life.

I think all the reflections work that way

@leon_raymond:

Boon Reflection 's ability is actually a static ability with a replacement effect, so it wouldn't use the stack. It would just cause a spell or ability on the stack to be replaced with a different effect (in this case, gaining twice as much life).

This is why multiple Boon Reflection s would stack. Each one replaces the effect of the previous one. Gaining 4 life is replaced with gaining 8 life, which is replaced with gaining 16 life, etc.
