does Vigor's ability stack?
Asked by Shyachi33 13 years ago
from my understanding if i have 2 or more vigors out on the field their abilities would stack, since it just mentions that "damage prevented this way" meaning it doesn't specify that a particular vigor has to do it, and so it teh damage is prevented in that for i would get a +1/+1 counter for each vigor on the field that i take dmg for that is prevented right?
I'm not sure 6/6s with trample and self-reshuffle mope very well...but MagnorCriol is correct, for creatures other than the Vigor s, only one effect will apply. However, having 2 of them out means that each of them will benefit from the ability of the other - so no myspace either. :P

Psh. Look at him. He's covered in super-mossy overgrowth that hangs down in his face. So nature-emo. Also look at his face. He's like the Eeyore of incarnations. He probably spends his spare time sighing softly to himself and listening to slow My Chemical Romance and Poison The Well songs. =p

dunno, looks to me like he's probably pretty angry most of the time. and at least he has halfway decent art (poor Primeval Titan , stuck with art the quality of which I wouldn't wish even on Squire ).

Haha, true that. I actually really like Vigor 's art. The Titan...yeah, he got his face smashed in with a shovel made from the wood of the ugly tree.
Of course he's still better looking than Infantry Veteran . And Quagnoth /Scragnoth .

Heyyyyyyyy...Quagnoth and Scragnoth aren't anywhere near the level of bad that the other two are. I'm rather fond of Scragnoth 's art, actually, for some odd reason. Maybe because it's got blue in it. :P

What something like Damnation or Blightsteel Colossus ? does that trigger vigor's effect?

Damnation doesn't deal damage. Blightsteel Colossus does.

What about something like emberspark Mage and something that gives it deathtouch? I'm just trying to get all the bases covered for Tuesday's flustercluck 4v4 session

Actually, no.
The use of "this way" actually makes the ability more specific. It refers to that specific instance of that ability. If that particular ability didn't replace the damage, it doesn't get to put counters out.
So with a pair of Vigor s out there, damage would occur, and both replacement events go off. However, only one of the two abilities actually replaces the damage. The other ability checks, and since it didn't have any more damage to prevent (the first one prevents it all) it just slinks quietly back to its corner to mope, post moody Myspace updates about how lonely it is dye its hair jet-black to match its layers of black eye shadow.
