how does battlecry work in multiplayer such as archenemy?
Asked by Mcmurry14 13 years ago
The text for battlecry is:
Battle cry (whenever this creature attacks, each other attacking creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn)
in an archenemy game where each opposing player attacks at the same time, does battlecry affect every creature? or just those attacking under the control of the battlecry creature?
Yes, in multiplayer games using the team rule, all your teammates will get the Battlecry bonus. I'm fairly sure Wizards intentionally worded it that way, Rally the Forces and card:Victory's Herald also boost everything attacking rather than just things you control.

Yeah, xera is right. This point was made on the prerelease info in relation to 2-headed-giant, but basically it works the same way for archenemy. I c+p'd the rules, it's the last section you'll be interested in
702.88. Battle Cry
702.88a Battle cry is a triggered ability. "Battle cry" means "Whenever this creature attacks, each other attacking creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn."
702.88b If a creature has multiple instances of battle cry, each triggers separately.
- The +1/+0 bonus applies to each other attacking creature, but not to the creature with battle cry itself.
- The +1/+0 bonus remains until the end of the turn, even if the creature with battle cry leaves the battlefield or stops being an attacking creature.
- If a creature with battle cry attacks more than once in a turn (due to an additional combat phase being created), its battle cry ability will trigger each time. The results are cumulative.
- In Two-Headed Giant and other multiplayer variants where players share a turn, attacking creatures controlled by a teammate also receive the +1/+0 bonus. Reply With Quote

i think it affects every attacking creature rather than just your own. if it affected just your creatures it would be worded:."(when this creature attacks each other attacking creature you control gets +1/+0 until end of turn.)"
