How does Galvonoth's ability work?

Because the ability triggers and resolves before the upkeep step, does that mean that if I play the instant or sorcery that i then can draw a card as well?

Galvanoth 's ability triggers as the upkeep step begins. Then you look at the card. You may play it for free, or you may choose not to play it. If you don't play it, you draw it instead. If you play it, it goes to your graveyard and you draw the card next on top of your library during your draw step.
