How does Ixidron and Detention Sphere work?

I ask the question what happens when I cast an Ixidron and follow it up by casting a Detention Sphere on a face-down creature? From what I understand, they don't have names so Detention Sphere wouldn't exile each player's board excluding the Ixidron. Is my assumption correct?

That's correct. No name is not a blank name, it is no name. Objects that have no name can't "have the same name" as anything.
