How does Myr Welder work?

So, I have Myr Welder out and use it to exile Seat of the Synod and Ancient Den .

Now, I activate Myr Welder 's tap ability. What exactly happens?

Do I get both Blue and White mana? Or do I have to choose what one I get?

You would have to choose. Your Myr Welder has gained 2 different abilities. It doesn't combine to make one if I'm not mistaken.

That's actually what I expected.

This makes the card more fun than useful. Odds are, I am just going to use it to "copy" my destroyed/milled equipment.
