If a creature equipped with Livewire Lash is targeted by Doom Blade then targeted by Vines of Vastwood how many times would the lash trigger?

Say if I have a Blight Mamba equipped with Livewire Lash . Say if my opponent Doom Blade s the mamba, and I counter it with Vines of Vastwood , does the lash trigger twice because Blight Mamba was targeted twice, or does Vines of Vastwood make Blight Mamba not able to be targeted by Doom Blade?
If the lash only triggers once, what about if I play Withstand Death instead of Vines of Vastwood ?
Pretty sure the lash would trigger twice for the VoV/Doom blade part and the Withstand Death/Doom Blade.
Seeing as the creature WAS the target for the spells, the first just did not complete as the mamba became an illegal target.

You select targets for spells when they are cast and triggers that check for targetting will trigger from that event as well.
The target becoming illegal by the time the trigger resolves won't matter.
In short, your opponent casts Doom Blade and the spell is put on the stack, before you evne receive priority to respond the Livewire Lash trigger is added to the stack as well. You can then respond with the Vines of Vastwood which will go on the stack before it also triggers the Livewire Lash adding a second trigger to the stack.
Also note that since the Lash triggers are added to the stack on top of the spells that triggered them you can let the triggers resolve before the spells.
Thus when your opponent casts the doom blade you could let the resulting lash trigger resolve before you cast your Vines of Vastwood and then let the trigger for vines of vastwood resolve before the vines as well.

i think it would trigger twice (with the Doom Blade & Vines of Vastwood ) because Livewire Lash says "whenever creature becomes target of a spell, this...."
