If I declare Frost Titan as an attacker then I kill it to imprint it on Mimc Vat can I attack with the token to get the titan's ability three times?

When you declare attackers, can you declare frost titan as an attacker, get its effect, doom blade it and imprint it onto a mimic vat, and then create a token, getting the effect, and swing with the token, and get its effect, giving you a triple titan effect?

Frost Titan

Mimic Vat

While it's a fun-sounding trick, no you can't, not under ordinary circumstances. There's generally only one 'declare attackers' step per turn, which means once you declare your first Titan as an attacker, that's all you're going to get this turn.

The exception would be if you managed to have some sort of extra-combat-step effect (like World at War , Finest Hour , etc). Then you'd be able to do it once, declaring the token you made as your attacker on the second phase. An expensive way to Bonds of Quicksilver something, though.

Short answer : No.

Longer answer : Almost yes.

You can swing with the Frost Titan to get the effect, and Doom Blade yourself, and copy it onto the Mimic Vat , and yes, barf one out with the Mimic Vat , and it'll still trigger the ETB effect, but the new one will NOT be able to attack. When you declare attackers, you must declare all of your attackers at that point. The phase will then end afterwards, so by the time you resolve everything and the Frost Titan token comes out, your attack phase is done. So you're better off swinging with your Frost Titan and trying to get through before doing the murder-vat token generation. No point in doing it during your attack phase.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: The battle phase occurs in four steps;

1) Declare Attackers

2) Declare Blockers

3) Damage Calculation

4) End of combat

After both declare attackers and blockers steps, there is a point where either player may play instants or activate abilities. Since this point is AFTER attackers are declared, you would not be able to declare attacks with other creatures put into play at this stage, e.g. via Flash , Sneak Attack , Elvish Piper or indeed Mimic Vat

Bonus answer :

The only way you could conceivably get the triple titan effect with the cards you mentioned in your original question is if you had enough mana to cast the original Frost Titan in the first place on your main phase, then kill it with Doom Blade , then copy it with Mimic Vat , and then spit one out. So you have the original trigger from the first Frost Titan you played, which then gets merc'd, then the second trigger from your new token Frost Titan . Now when you finally enter your attack phase, the token can attack and net you that third trigger, but this will have been at the whopping cost of 11 mana. (6 Titan, 2 Blade, 3 Vat).

Still, It's one mana less expensive than 3 Bonds of Quicksilver and Mimic Vat is reusable.

one way u could have the triple titan effect would be to cast frost titan, then doom blade it, exile it with mimic vat then make a copy all during ur first main phase, then attack with the copy because it has haste.

You could always use Voltaic Key to get quadruple titan effect the turn after as well, netting 8 cost for 4x Bonds of Quicksilver
