If i have Adventuring Gear on the field and i play a land then equip it to a creature does it get the bonus?

Ok, so let's say I have Adventuring Gear on the table, but it's not equipped. A land enters the battlefield and I use it to equip adventuring gear to a creature. Will the ability be triggered and passed on to the creature?
The bonus from Adventuring Gear apply to the equipped creature at the time the land enters the battlefield. If there is no equipped creature then the effect doesn't trigger.
The equipment gives the effect to the equipped creature. So sadly no is the answer.
Hope this helps to clarify why.

If the Gear was worded something like:
Landfall - Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, Adventuring Gear has "Equipped creature gets +2/+2"
then it would give the bonus to the creature even if it wasn't equipped when the land hit the battlefield, because in that case, landfall puts an ability on the equipment.
In the actual wording, the equipment acts as a conduit that basically lets landfall put a buff on a creature whenever it activates.
There's some fun shenanigans you can pull with the current wording, however. If you have a means to drop more than one land per turn, you could have the Gear on one creature, drop a land and give it +2/+2, then move the gear to another creature, drop a second land and give IT +2/+2. The original creature retains the buff because of the way it's worded, so you end up with two creatures getting +2/+2.

When a land enters and there is not currently an equipped creature, the landfall has no effect.
