If I have Cursed Rack and Gnat Miser on the field would my opponent's hand size be 3?

If I have Cursed Rack on the field with Gnat Miser would that make my opponents hand size 3?

My thought would be that Cursed Rack doesn't state maximum hand size, so that it doesn't actually affect maximum hand size, it only forces discards. So the Gnat would be innefective.

Yes, Cursed Rack 's Oracle text says "The chosen player's maximum hand size is four." so Gnat Miser would reduce the hand size to 3.

Don't they all?

Bah I dislike that the oracle says that. Years ago I seen someone use Cursed Rack and Megrim for some good discarding dmg deck. But if the oracle says that now that combo would no longer work blah.

Yeah, it still works the same way. They have six cards in hand and are tapped out @ end of turn they still have to discard 2 cards. Works basically the same, just the timing has changed?

My question is, with Cursed Rack on an opponent and they play Spellbook , which one actually applies to the opponent? art v art text, who wins?

Does it matter which order they are placed onto the field in?

@djdauenbaugh,

It would check timestamps. So yes, the order they hit the field in matters. Rack first, then Book means they have no max. hand size, and Book then Rack means discard down to 4.
