If I imprint a card/creature with kicker on Prototype Portal/Mimic Vat can I pay that card's kicker cost?

Well lets keep things interesting.

Prototype Portal or Mimic Vat is imprinted with a card/creature with a kicker (any ol one will do).. Then the copy enters play, can the cost be paid to activate the kicker ability?

Nopers. Check the kicker reminder text, as with Everflowing Chalice . Must be paid as the spell IS CAST; neither Vat nor Portal let you cast spells, just put copies on the battlefield.
