If I play a Quicksilver Gargantuan copying a Palace Guard then I play Clone copying QSG how big would clone be?

Asked by Vicanic 14 years ago

if my opponent has a 1/4 Palace Guard in play, and I copy it with a Quicksilver Gargantuan, what happens if I play a clone targeting Quicksilver Gargantuan?

do I get a 7/7 Palace Guard, a 1/4 Palace Guard, or a 7/7 Quicksilver Gargantuan?

Clone

Palace Guard

Quicksilver Gargantuan

You'd get a 7/7 Palace Guard .

When the Quicksilver Gargantuan comes into play and copies a creature, it's that creature but with a 7/7 P/T. This isn't a layered difference, so the Clone doesn't sift through the layers to find an "original" P/T. Clone copies a 7/7 Palace Guard , so it becomes a 7/7 Palace Guard .

Someone should make a G/U Ramp deck with QSG. Bonus pts to whoever does.
