if i use Elspeth Tirel's ultimate and it blows up a Journey to Nowhere is the exiled creature returned to play?

Asked by kador11 13 years ago

If I play Elspeth Tirel's final ability which states-"Destroy all other permanents except for lands and tokens." and have a creature that has been exiled with the enchantment Journey to Nowhere-"When Journey to Nowhere enters the battlefield, exile target creature.

When Journey to Nowhere leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to the battlefield under its owner's control."

Will the Journey to Nowhere be destroyed and I get my creature back since it was exiled when the destroy affect occurred or will both the Journey and the Exiled creature come back into play?

Also does Elspeth's ability destroy herself or does the "other" keep her alive?

The other keeps her alive.

You will get your creature back because Journey to nowhere leaves play and the creature was not there to be destroyed.

Hope I helped.
