if i use lightning bolt on forgotten ancient, will it kill him?

if i use lightning bolt, on forgotten ancient, because whenever a player cast a spell, forgotten ancient gets a +1 +1 counter. will lighning bolt kill it?

Yes, it will survive. It's ability triggers and is put on the stack after the lightning bolt is cast, which means it will resolve and pump Ancient before Bolt does damage to it.

Meh, I like checking out the Q&A section regularly. If I'm quick I get to answer someone's question and show off how smart I am =P. And if I'm not I usually learn something new about the game in the process anyway.
