If two Furnace of Rath are in play does damage get tripled ?

Oracle ruling on Furnace of Rath :

10/4/2004: If you have two of these on the battlefield, the damage is multiplied by 4.

The damage will be doubled, then doubled again.

@mafteechr ..you should have explained why :d

This is happening because there will be 2 replacements effects waiting to be chosen.

You choose which of them applies first (in this case there are identical from different sources), and after the first applies, doubling the damage, the second applies to the already augmented damage, doubling it yet again, so it ends up quadruple damage : [damage value]2[first furnace]2[second furnace]
