if you set off two quest for the pure flames on the same turn, does it double the double damage?

Yeah that's pretty much it. I can see this going two ways; either damage doubles once for each effect, thereby quadrupling damage (awesome by any measure) or if the effects work simultaneously then damage is only doubled. Thoughts?
614.5. A replacement effect doesnt invoke itself repeatedly and gets only one opportunity for each event.
Example: A player controls two permanents, each with an ability that reads If a creature you control would deal damage to a creature or player, it deals double that damage to that creature or player instead. A creature that normally deals 2 damage will deal 8 damage not just 4, and not an infinite amount.
Each ability acts seperately, so each one seperately doubles the damage (in one case doubling already doubled damage =D)

From the official rulings- 10/1/2009: If you activate the second ability of more than one Quest for Pure Flame in the same turn, the effects are cumulative. Two such effects will cause damage from sources you control to be multiplied by four; three such effects will cause damage from sources you control to be multiplied by eight.
