Joraga Warcaller infinite counters on my elves?
Asked by druck2010 13 years ago
as the wording on Joraga Warcaller, can i have infinite counters on all my elves if i have 2 of them out with say one counter a piece on them..bc they are elves themselves and if they get a counter from another and so on and so on how can the counters stop...?
i get that but wat if i have two active, they both have counters so why cant they both have infinite x.x? bc when one is active with say 3 on it the other one active with say another 3 on it can give one 6 counters and then bac to the other giving it 6 and so on and so on

You seem to be confusing +1/+1 with +1/+1 counters. Joraga Warcaller grants other elves +1/+1. This is a static ability that will stop working if Joraga Warcaller leaves the battlefield. On the other hand, +1/+1 counters are placed onto a creature and stay with that creature regardless of whether or not other permanents leave the battlefield.
So, if you have two Joraga Warcaller s on the board, and they each have three +1/+1 counters on them, each Joraga Warcaller will be a 7/7 (+3/+3 due to the COUNTERS on it and +3/+3 due to the STATIC ABILITY of the other).
Each other elf you control will have +6/+6 (all of which is granted from the STATIC ABILITIES of the Joraga Warcaller s.

Rather than giving counters for the bonus, their effects modify the p/t of the recieving creature directly. Since there are no counters added, the infinite combo isn't triggered.

another related question,i have Oracle of Mul Daya , Llanowar Elves , and Joraga Warcaller with one counter on him on the battlefield what happen if:
- my opponent play Pyroclasm
- my opponent play Arc Trail targetting 2 to Joraga Warcaller and 1 to Llanowar Elves
thank you

1) Currently, your Joraga Warcaller is a 2/2, your Llanowar Elves is a 2/2, and your Oracle of Mul Daya is a 3/3. Your opponent plays Pyroclasm and each of your creatures takes 2 damage. The Joraga Warcaller and Llanowar Elves go to the graveyard. Once the Joraga Warcaller leaves the battlefield, your Oracle of Mul Daya will become a 2/2 with 2 damage on it. This will result it your Oracle of Mul Daya to also go to the graveyard. You're left with no creatures.
2) Similar to the first question, your Joraga Warcaller is a 2/2 and your Llanowar Elves is a 2/2. Arc Trail deals 2 damage to your Joraga Warcaller and 1 damage to your Llanowar Elves . The Joraga Warcaller goes to the graveyard. Once the Joraga Warcaller leaves the battlefield, your Llanowar Elves will be a 1/1 with 1 damage on it. This will result in your Llanowar Elves to also go to the graveyard.

Nope. Because Joraga Warcaller only gives +X/+X to other elves, not X +1/+1 counters.
