Knowledge Pool with Multikicker?
Asked by chuck137 13 years ago
I know that when you play a card from Knowledge Pool it'll cover the basic kicker cost, but how will it handle multikickers?
Example: I want to play Skitter of Lizards from Knowledge Pool . Do i get one kick, leaving me responsible to pay for any additional kicks?
Or can i pump out as many multikick as I want?

Knowledge Pool lets you cast any card in it as if the text in the top right of the card said 0, instead of whatever it normally is. This means X is 0, you don't need to pay colored mana, and if anything else checks for how you pay for a spell, it sees 0.
However, you can still declare any additional costs, like Kicker/Multikicker, Buyback, and you have to pay additional costs as well, such as Kuldotha Rebirth 's sacrifice.

I believe you are incorrect about Knowledge Pool and kicker costs. Knowledge Pool covers mana costs, but not the additional costs (which a kicker is). You would cast the spell from exile without paying the mana cost, but you would still have to pay for the kicker.
Thus, since a multikicker is just a kicker you can pay for multiple times, you'd still have to pay for it.
