Mind Control in multiplay?

Asked by Angelus083 14 years ago

I'm playing in a 3 player game and I Mind Control Player 2's creature. The next turn, Player 2 drops to 0 life and is out of the game. Does the Mind Controlled creature disappear from the field?

yup. once they die, all of their permanents and so forth go away. once the creature leaves the battlefield, the enchantment is put into your graveyard as a state-based effect.

Alright, thanks. I was having this discussion with a group I play with and none of us knew the answer for sure.

So if your opponent controls your Jinxed Idol and loses; I would assume it would also be put into your graveyard, since the 'owner' left play.

By my understanding, the idol would be returned to your side of the field. Otherwise, by this logic, if someone was to play Regress or something along those lines, your idol would be put into the other player's hand.

I believe that whenever a player loses the game in multiplayer, all permanents that they control that they do not own are put into their owner's graveyards as a state-based effect. Otherwise it would mess with Sleeper Agent and so forth, and that would be odd.
