relic of putrescence (sorry for so many questions lol)

Asked by zigkid3 14 years ago

if relic-of-purescence is attached to an equipment artifact, like say Sword of Vengeance for example (doesn't really matter. and that creature taps to attack, then do i deal a poison counter because the artifact taps with the creature?

no Relic Putrescence would not deal a poison counter because equipment does not tap when the equipped creature attacks

you would need to use a spell or ability to tap the equipment such as Icy Manipulator

Please read other questions before you post. If you had you would have seen this question has already been asked an answered. Here's the link: http://tappedout.net/mtg-questions/do-equipments-become-tapped-if-the-creature-they-are-attached-to-attacks/

I am seeing Relic Putrescence as a possible win card card for my infect deck. Most of my creatures are Artifacts so if I have a Livewire Lash on one of them this could be the last 2 poison counters to win or it could stop the opponent from attacking/blocking with a artifact creature. This could help in the case that someone is using Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas making regular artifacts into 5/5 creatures. That's like a double win because they would have to tap to attack or cast whatever the cards original abilities are.

Oh just to add... Enchantment Aura's do cause the Livewire Lash to trigger and have the equipped creature deal 2 damage or 2 poison or -1/-1 counters if the equipped creature has infect. It has to be targeted and its considered a sorcery while being casted. So only as it casts can it cause the effect. I have seen some other equipment items list as equipping being a sorcery. Ex. Sword of Vengeance . So that would trigger Livewire Lash as well.
