what happened to naya and junk in the latest set?

haven't seen any good tournament decks for these color combination's lately
Since Shards of Alara rotated, there are less incentives to play a "shard" color. There are still viable builds that use some cards commonly found in naya builds. But most of them are closer to "Boros" a.k.a. Red/White decks, with steppe lynx and plated geopede. These could play green for Birds of Paradise and... I dunno... mainboard the Cunning Sparkmage Basilisk Collar Stoneforge Mystic "Boss Naya" plan, but without powerhouse four-drops like Bloodbraid Elf and Ranger of Eos , the deck does become a lot less appealing.
Even with losing these powerful cards, I feel like a naya deck is still viable, but with the new set people are just interested in trying new things. I think this is the main reason the deck hasn't come back.
As for junk... I looked up a list to re-learn the deck.... It was never terribly popular but I DO remember losing to it at a ptq. Losing Knight of the Reliquary was a pretty big deal. So was Maelstrom Pulse
Once again, this deck IS viable, popping out turn 3 Baneslayer Angel off of Lotus Cobra is always viable. Once again, I just feel like people are interested in doing other things right now.
I'm not saying either deck is Tier one, but they can be built...
Hope that answers your Q.

As a bonus, you can check out Junk Post Shards, just something I threw together.
