What happens if a land enchanted with Spreading Seas becomes enchanted by Contaminated Ground or vice versa?

Asked by muffludwig 14 years ago

What happens if say spreading seas and contaminated ground are both on the same land? Would the last to come into play be the land's current type? Thanks in advance

Well when someone cast Spreading Seas on your forest it is now a Island and then if you cast Contaminated Groud on that land they turned in to a Island it is now just a Swamp Because your changing the land type not adding to the land type if it said this card is now a Island in addsion to its other type then it would be a Forest, Island and swamp but since it says it is now a Island then it becomes just a Island and when someone plays Contaminated Groudn on it then it is just a Swamp because it is changing the land type from its land type before

this depends on which enchantment was the last enchantment placed on the land.

if the land is enchanted with spreading seas then you enchant it with contaminated grounds it would be a swamp.

but if the land is enchanted with contaminated ground then you enchant it with spreading seas it will be an island

Xeratheenigma has it right.

The only thing I would add is a reminder that regardless of the order they are cast contaminated ground will still cause you to lose 2 life when the land becomes tapped.
