What happens if you imprint Beacon of Immortality or any other beacon on Panoptic Mirror?
Asked by MagnorCriol 14 years ago
Was browsing through the Gatherer comments and came across this question, which, having no answer to, got me quite curious.
All of the Beacon cycle - Beacon of Immortality , Beacon of Tomorrows , Beacon of Unrest , Beacon of Destruction , Beacon of Creation - have a clause that shuffles them into the library when they resolve. If you managed to imprint one - on Panoptic Mirror , for instance - what happens with the shuffle into library clause?
It seems like you'd gat the Beacon's effect, then just shuffle your library. Thoughts?

Just like a token, it disappears as soon as it leaves its native zone. Natch.
Thanks for satisfying my curiosity!

that is correct.
lets say a copy of beacon of immortality resolves. what happens is you double your life total then the copy shuffles itself into your library (where it disappears) which basically just shuffles your library because the copy disappears as soon as it would be placed in another zone i.e. the graveyard, exile, your hand, or your library.
