what happens when Journey to Nowhere etb and my opponent has no creatures?

Asked by Tetsuo 13 years ago

ok so the case that this happened is...

Opponent has an Admonition Angel and landfall triggers and exiles a Journey to Nowhere to get some stuff back, and exiles a Baneslayer Angel cause srsly its a Baneslayer Angel its freakin broken. but then next turn a Day of Judgment resolves and Admonition Angel leaves the battlefield and everything returns. but all that returns is Journey to Nowhere and Baneslayer Angel .

so i guess my question is what happens when journey to nowhere enters and there are no creatures that can be targeted and / or does it mean that in order for journey to stay on the battlefield baneslayer would have to enter the battlefield first and get exiled by journey?

Everything returns to the battlefield at the same time, then any triggered abilities are put on the stack. This means that Baneslayer is on the field when Journey's ability goes off, so Baneslayer Angel will be exiled by Journey to Nowhere.

I agree.

And I like the story mode of the Q&A question.
