When Goblin Guide attacks who reveals the top card of their library

Asked by Kurzucik 13 years ago

I was wondering who shows the top card of their library when Goblin Guide attacks? Let's say I have Goblin Guide attacking, does my opponent show it or do I show it?

The wording on Goblin Guide seems to imply that the defending player is the one that reveals the card. That's how I'm reading it.

Defending player is the player that could potentially block Goblin Guide , aka your opponent most of the time.

the defending player reveals the card. The defending player is the player who could potentially assign blocker to it. So in a heads up game it is your opponent. In multiplayer it is whichever player you are directing the attack of Goblin Guide to.

Basically, his effect is to prevent Goblin Guide from being an amazing 1 cmc creature. Unfortunately for Wizards, Goblin Guide is still an Amazing 1 cmc creature.
