will my creatures retain any P/T buffs they got from Adventuring Gear until end of turn even if the gear is destroyed?

If I have adventurer's-gear attached to a creature and then play a land, then still during my main phase sacrifice adventurer's-gear to equip Piston Sledge , would the effects of adventurer's-gear carry on even though it isn't equipped since it says 'until end of turn'?
Adventuring Gear's ability is a triggered effect. When a land enters the battlefield, Adventuring Gear's trigger goes on the stack. Assuming no Voidslime s get in the way, the equipped creature will get +2/+2 until the end of the turn. The ability isn't dependent on the Gear staying on the field and equipped, like most other equipment.

Dedicated landfall decks exploit this fact to spread out their damage.
Say you have two creatures, an Adventuring Gear equipped to one of them, and an Arid Mesa in your hand. You could play the Mesa, giving the first creature +2/+2, then move the Gear over to the second creature, crack the Mesa and put another land in play with it, giving the second creature its own +2/+2 bonus.
Now you've added a total of 4 power to your side, but since it's split up between two creatures it's that much harder to block or kill-spell it.

The landfall ability gives +2/+2 to the creature that's equipped by Adventuring Gear at the time that ability resolves. It doesn't matter what creature Adventuring Gear was attached to (if any) when its triggered. That bonus remains with that creature even if Adventuring Gear leaves the battlefield or becomes attached to a different creature later in the turn. If Adventuring Gear leaves the battlefield before its landfall ability resolves, the creature it was attached to at the time it left the battlefield gets +2/+2. If it wasn't attached to a creature at that time, nothing gets the bonus. When a land enters the battlefield under your control, each landfall ability of the permanents you control will trigger. You can put them on the stack in any order. The last ability you put on the stack will be the first one that resolves.
hope this helps.
