would Soul's Fire on a Kiln Fiend deal 4?

Just waht it says. Does the pump come before or after the amount of damage is dealt? COnfusing situation..

Yes, yes it does. This is why.

1. Empty stack, you have priority.
2. Cast card:Soul's Fire
3. Triggered ability of Kiln Fiend is added to the stack, ABOVE card:Soul's Fire
4. Resolve the fiend trigger
5. Resolve card:Soul's Fire

Assuming no counterspells or buggaboo along the way, your fiend does four.

608.2g If an effect requires information from the game (such as the number of creatures on the battlefield), the answer is determined only once, when the effect is applied.

The effect is applied when the spell resolves, and at this point Kiln Fiend's power will have become 4 (assuming you haven't cast any other instants/sorceries this turn). So yes, 4 damage will be dealt thanks to Soul's Fire.
