Would this Furnace Celebration & Eldrazi Spawn combo work?
Asked by Legendinc 13 years ago
Say I had an arbitrarily large amount of Eldrazi Spawn tokens on my side of the field (for validity's sake, lets say they were generated by 4 awakening-zones)
i also have a Furnace Celebration , and wish to cast another one. I pay two mountains and sacrifice one of my Eldrazi Spawn tokens, therefore I can use Furnace Celebration 's ability, sacking two more Spawn tokens.
Can I, if I had a load of spawn tokens, ping my opponent to death with two Furnace Celebration s on the field?
or is there something I'm missing here.
Not with the two, but the one. It all goes on the stack after the first Furnace Celebration , but all in all, yes, I think this could work.
I think.

Yep, you can effectively kill an oponent this way if you trigger the ability 10 times. The thing to remember thought is that if you sac for the ability, that retriggers the ability, meaning that just by paying to do it again, you have reactived the ability.

In short yes, you could kill your opponent with just sacrificing the spawn tokens, but you don't need a reason to sacrifice the spawn tokens. All you have to do is have the Furnace Celebration on the field and sacrifice 2 spawn tokens and pay the 2 mana that you add to your mana pool from sacrificing the tokens.

You just need infinite spawn tokens and one Furnace Celebration to deal infinite damage to whatever you want.

Yes, with gratuitous amounts of spawn, you can kill your opponents with Furnace Celebration.

Yes, for as Furnace Celebration states whenever you sacrifice another permanent, not sacrifice a permanent, so you would get one mana, tap one mana and the deal 2 damage.
I have a deck which utilizes Furnace Celebration.
