Welcome to my page.

I've been playing since roughly 2013, with my introductory set being set:Core 2012, and my first pack being Born of the Gods (I think). It was whatever pack had Elspeth, Sun's Champion in standard rotation.

I pulled that Elspeth from a pack given to me by a friend, and I've been interested in the game ever since.

A lot of friends in my personal life are on the site, including:

And then furthermore, acquaintances I've met here on the site who are amazing, like:

..I mean, the list goes on for sure. There's a very friendly group of people on this site who help pretty much.. everyone. Remember that kindness matters.

I tend to create Commander/Edh decks the most frequently, mainly because that is my playgroups preferred manner to enjoy the game right now. (2024)

Whether thematic or building to a competitive goal, I try to enjoy what I make and have some element of originality in my concepts, even if the deck is a staple meta-driven deck.

I like to build decks in the Modern, Legacy, EDH, and Standard formats. I have several detailed here on the site, and a few Arena-specific decks as well. That's where I get the totality of my standard play right now, as I don't have a great location to attend locally. (2024)

In short, I enjoy building decks and testing them against my friends the most. The majority of my building is focused on being high-powered at the table, as we tend to play in pods rather than in 1v1 scenarios. (2024)

As of late, I've moved into deck-building challenges and refining previous builds. It was only with the release of Aetherdrift (2025) that I felt inspired to create two "new" decks, one of whiich is a completely original idea, and the other that piggy-backs off of Hollow One shells.

I'm re-igniting my deck-building spark with Tarkir: Dragonstorm (TDM) and Final Fantasy receiving a Universes Beyond set this year in June. (2025)

  • I play in a seven player edh pod and that's typically where we allow proxies, since it's a tabletop experience. (circa.2019-2023)

  • we are currently living (my wife evenable311 and I) with two of our mates Savage_savior6 and afsanamtg, so four player pods are common. (March 2023)

  • I play occasionally with my brother, SaskiaKnight711. I haven't had a regular group to play with in a bit, but I'm hopeful I'll find new players to connect with. (2025)

Don't expect too much stock in the idea I'm discussing until you see the list.

I'm always up for a conversation about any of my builds, or if you've got a similar idea that you've worked on. I'm just as likely to talk about a build I made three minutes ago as I am to discuss one I made three years ago.

Keep building. Keep Playing.

Detailed below is an expansive sorting of my chosen Commander's to represent each color association in Magic, a list for 32 different decks, and 32 (min.) different Commander's. The idea is inspired by NoobNoob275.

This task is popular among the Edh community, so it will take time to reach completion, and it won't be simple or easy. I look forward to many updates and several changes overtime.

It just takes time and practice. don't forget that there is a play-testing function within the site! Good luck.

Mana dorks, ramp, and draw a card.

Explore,Nature's Lore,Farseek,Rampant Growth,Kodama of the West Tree,Sakura-Tribe Elder,Three Visits,Thirsting Roots, etc.

Consider lowering your 6 costs to about 4 total in the deck.

Consider lowering your 5 costs to about 7 total in the deck.

Consider lowering your 4 costs to about 9 total in your deck.

It's all about scaling, and when you effectively use ramp to push your late game, you do those things faster, and more consistently. the newly printed Abzan Monument is a cool example of how to consistently grab what you need if you do in fact want to keep casting those big costing spells. In order to do that, you must consistently ramp.

You mentioned that this was your first build all on your own so that was why I thought to give some feedback, I wish you the best of luck! +1

Feyd-Rautha you've got a really creative mind for these builds- I appreciate your craft a lot. I think that you and Balaam__ would have a lot to talk about, considering how you favor cards you have and you've started in '95. I look forward to engaging with you some more in the future!

Oh now this was quite lovely to see. There's a plentiful mix of cards both old and new here. I get the feeling and emotion evicted from seeing them all put into one pile, there's like.. a really significant charm to this deck. I liked what I saw from the old-school Taigam love with Budget One Punch but I couldn't refrain here- this is F@#$%ing awesome what you've done. I mean cards like Fountain Watch which are lost to the eons are just.. true treasures in my opinion.

It's funny you should mention the Hammerhead as I have made a submission within the last few hours for it. I think this deck functions pretty well without such things, and if you're going to go the CEDH route you likely haven't seen anything too.. terribly important. Unless I'm missing something blatantly obvious, and if that's the case.. this deck is about to be 6x as good.

on a serious note though, how does one format their description in such a compelling, marvelous way? Your primer is outstanding and the formatting choices you made have made it all the more enticing.

I love this concept. Since you've made such a strong shot at it and the theme is on point like that.. I feel compelled to try a similar idea with different characters.

the fact this list is currently suggested as 91% casual is criminal. The playtest I had led me out with Brushland and Children of Korlis, where we turn our Ripples of Undeath after getting out an Overgrown Tombfoil. It's a choice opener that feels-good but then I went ahead with our mill; got nothing of consequence but I did draw into a Sakura-Tribe Elder "Steve"! I had Betor hit the ground a turn early, all in all it felt at least on par with what a Pre-con should be able to do. And definitely better than the pre-con they intend to put out. You're doing great work, here!

If not for how prolific an audiophile I am with modern music, I might very well have been caught off guard by the joke. Always great sharing a laugh with you. :)

Balaam__ the guitar was riffing in my ears within mere moments of starting to read this comment.

Can I really be mad..? I did this to myself, and everyone else here on the site.

I have a deck based around Ayula, Queen Among Bears that might interest you. Albeit, it's Rule Zero. However, I really like it and think you would too. "Can I Pet that Dog?"

this is so great! the exact kind of deck I'm hoping comes across my feed. +1 for concept.

Balaam__ I updated the description so that it might be more obvious 'what the joke' was about the name and the list. It isn't too terribly clever but I thought that might clear up any confusion!

Balaam__ it is in fact song lyrics! They belong to "Doom & Gloom" by the named band, Dance Gavin Dance. Hence the pun based named of the deck. I'm so glad you saw this!
