Welcome to my page.

I've been playing since roughly 2013, with my introductory set being set:Core 2012, and my first pack being Born of the Gods (I think). It was whatever pack had Elspeth, Sun's Champion in standard rotation.

I pulled that Elspeth from a pack given to me by a friend, and I've been interested in the game ever since.

Several other players have crossed my path including:

As well as some who are my personal family, like:

And then furthermore, acquaintances I've met here on the site who are amazing, like:

I tend to create Commander/Edh decks the most frequently, mainly because that is my playgroups preferred manner to enjoy the game right now. (2024)

Whether thematic or building to a competitive goal, I try to enjoy what I make and have some element of originality in my concepts, even if the deck is a staple meta-driven deck.

I like to build decks in the Modern, Legacy, EDH, and Standard formats. I have several detailed here on the site, and a few Arena-specific decks as well. That's where I get the totality of my standard play right now, as I don't have a great location to attend locally.

In short, I enjoy building decks and testing them against my friends the most. The majority of my building is focused on being high-powered at the table, as we tend to play in pods rather than in 1v1 scenarios.

  • I play in a seven player edh pod and that's typically where we allow proxies, since it's a tabletop experience. (circa.2019-2023)

  • we are currently living (my wife evenable311 and I) with two of our mates Savage_savior6 and afsanamtg, so four player pods are common. (March 2023)

  • NoobNoob275 comes to visit sometimes. Hoping Xxere will come visit us sometime as well.

  • SaskiaKnight711 is a complete egg.

Don't expect too much stock in the idea I'm discussing until you see the list.

I'm always up for a conversation about any of my builds, or if you've got a similar idea that you've worked on. I'm just as likely to talk about a build I made three minutes ago as I am to discuss one I made three years ago.

Keep building. Keep Playing.

Detailed below is an expansive sorting of my chosen Commander's to represent each color association in Magic, a list for 32 different decks, and 32 (min.) different Commander's. The idea is inspired by NoobNoob275.

This task is popular among the Edh community, so it will take time to reach completion, and it won't be simple or easy. I look forward to many updates and several changes overtime.

sergiodelrio I wholeheartedly understand where you're coming from. Wish there was an internal way to promote members of TappedOut for helper Ranks. You certainly have helped me a lot with discussing this list. Thanks again! Tag me if you happen to draft a similar shell, I'd be curious to see it. And Cheers!

sergiodelrio you nailed it; was more of a "I know I'm forgetting something here.." kind of inquiry but I'd honestly not touched this since MH3 had debuted. I appreciate the input! Your commentary regarding Deserted Temple is spot on and enlightening. It just doesn't fit this build. Thanks again for the input, I'm gonna check out the most recent lands you suggested

sergiodelrio I kinda need your input now that B&R has made Mox Opal relevant again. Can i get away with using Deserted Temple here a bit more effectively or do I need to use a different land? I'm trying to get the most out of this mana-base, for sure. Right now I am using Zhalfirin Void as a reputable utility spot and a placeholder. NoobNoob275, feel free to chime in as this is the list I'm most likely bringing when we reprise Modern duels at the table.

Sidisi, Brood Tyrant is so slept on in EDH these days, at least in my circles. It's a great pick, and with a new Tarkir set on the horizon in 2025, I think we should see a reprint. But I digress, this deck is great and I love that it seems like you've got something to cast pretty much every turn. There's a really healthy balance of land and creatures, but potentially consider Plumb the Forbidden or something like Diabolic Intent, potentially Victimize. I really like what I see here but you're lacking a considerable amount of instants, things like Swan Song, Strix Serenade, etc. Just some interaction and draw power would be my only suggestions.

I like how this list functions! Very creative and flavorful, I'm curious to see how that develops over time with new releases. Seems like a pet deck, and something I would like to face. +1 for sure!

Ah yes, the time-honored tradition of building infect in modern; i've tried many times and it always looks very similar to what you have here. GeminiSpartanX makes a fantastic point about wanting some access to protection for super cheap. If price is an issue, then I understand why you wouldn't use something like Flare of Denial or Force of Negation. Good luck at your FNM and I recommend that you invest in some non-zero copies of Mirrex for the mainboard.
