Welcome to my page.

I've been playing since roughly 2013, with my introductory set being set:Core 2012, and my first pack being Born of the Gods (I think). It was whatever pack had Elspeth, Sun's Champion in standard rotation.

I pulled that Elspeth from a pack given to me by a friend, and I've been interested in the game ever since.

Several other players have crossed my path including:

As well as some who are my personal family, like:

And then furthermore, acquaintances I've met here on the site who are amazing, like:

I tend to create Commander/Edh decks the most frequently, mainly because that is my playgroups preferred manner to enjoy the game right now. (2024)

Whether thematic or building to a competitive goal, I try to enjoy what I make and have some element of originality in my concepts, even if the deck is a staple meta-driven deck.

I like to build decks in the Modern, Legacy, EDH, and Standard formats. I have several detailed here on the site, and a few Arena-specific decks as well. That's where I get the totality of my standard play right now, as I don't have a great location to attend locally.

In short, I enjoy building decks and testing them against my friends the most. The majority of my building is focused on being high-powered at the table, as we tend to play in pods rather than in 1v1 scenarios.

  • I play in a seven player edh pod and that's typically where we allow proxies, since it's a tabletop experience. (circa.2019-2023)

  • we are currently living (my wife evenable311 and I) with two of our mates Savage_savior6 and afsanamtg, so four player pods are common. (March 2023)

  • NoobNoob275 comes to visit sometimes. Hoping Xxere will come visit us sometime as well.

  • SaskiaKnight711 is a complete egg.

Don't expect too much stock in the idea I'm discussing until you see the list.

I'm always up for a conversation about any of my builds, or if you've got a similar idea that you've worked on. I'm just as likely to talk about a build I made three minutes ago as I am to discuss one I made three years ago.

Keep building. Keep Playing.

Detailed below is an expansive sorting of my chosen Commander's to represent each color association in Magic, a list for 32 different decks, and 32 (min.) different Commander's. The idea is inspired by NoobNoob275.

This task is popular among the Edh community, so it will take time to reach completion, and it won't be simple or easy. I look forward to many updates and several changes overtime.

Crow_Umbra thank you for the feedback- I edited the part you mentioned because upon reflection.. that kinda made a lot of sense. And now that you mentioned it, I realize a lot of my decks must be flagged as NSFW...

Femme_Fatale my deck has been flagged as NSFW - could you please help me have it reevaluated so I may share/cycle it?

Pretty big fan of this construction. I like the concept, and it's execution. I don't think you're hiding from how fast this deck is meant to operate, which lends it a lot of charm. +1

While not a huge necessity for your build, some cards to consider:

Royal Treatment, Flare of Cultivation, Green Sun's Zenith, Birthing Ritual.

Still a really solid example of how you build really well from an old-school kinda glamour. This deck stands the test of time, while also being super inviting if you wanted to upgrade.

Bookrook you've made an excellent recommendation in Blazing Rootwalla, because it was actually printed as an ode to the formerly printed (and now Modern banned) Basking Rootwalla. I love that you've reminded me of the Fire-Gecko, and I'm obviously going to need to playtest it. 10/10 recommendation. Thanks!

Balaam__ sweet nothings will get you everywhere- that comment made me beam with pride. I'm unlikely to let you down anytime soon.

This deck is something I'm just as much upset and baffled by as I am thrilled to have play-tested. The deck is nuts, and I have no scale for it. It exists in a class all it's own because I've honestly never seen a list that could remotely make One with Nothing do something relevant, let alone be the focal point of a combo.

Squee_Spirit_Guide it brought me a lot of joy to see you upvoted this list. I know historically you've made some whacky concepts too, so seeing you acknowledge this one gives me hope about it. Thanks for stopping by!

Bookrook fundamentally it acts as a worse Security Rhox, being meant to cast on turn 2 alongside everyone else. Assuming you've got a body like a Goldhound or a Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer to pitch to it. Consistency of concept influenced my choice there.

This is perfectly considered- I like your sense of control within rakdos. Plus One for sure.

Cloudy2024 I agree, Rancor could be effectively used here. I'm currently slotting Temur Battle Rage in that position because of the double strike. And similarly Bulk Up.

I haven't really thought of this deck as a fundamentally Gruul concept, so maybe that's why I hadn't considered it. Thanks for the suggestion.

See Monument to Endurance didn't seem like it was doing a whole bunch for a Nekusar deck, but I like seeing how invested you are in my 2nd ever commander. Dude is so worth the love, I enjoy seeing your updates and thinking about Nekusar for myself thereafter. I already upvoted but if I could I'd do it again!

Balaam__ it is definitely meant to not take itself too seriously, while also lending some laughs to the fact of 'hey you see this guy? I promised him a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos and a Kit-Kat, and he agreed to curbstomp your s@#$ for me.' What's not to love about that? In our small group, a few chuckles and funnies real quick in a sixty-card game are the type of things we'll be talking about for the rest of the night when we move over to the EDH decks. It'll come up again the following week, etc.. etc... and it's the best kind of magic, imho.

Giving me the impression I need to break out my favorite tree (Dungrove Elder) to show how busted green hyper ramp has become.. Balaam__ as always another one of those 'huh.. hadn't thought of that one...' type decks. I mean, similar ideas? Sure, but you always have some kind of flavorful element that makes me dig deeper.

Balaam__ I can always count on you to support my gimmick/gotcha style decks. Would love to hear your feedback about this one.
