I would say the most interesting one is the Atraxa deck. Whichever deck you choose is fine with me

Of course, so many decks to choose from its hard to decide. Just let me know when you've made your decision.

I have a feature token gifted to me by another user. I want to use one of those tokens to feature a deck of your choice on the tapped out "feature" section. If you look at the homepage, there is usually a featured deck at the top. There is also a featured tab as well. This helps your deck get more attention and therefore hopefully upvotes, comments, suggestions, etc...

Bookrook, that is one additional creature that can attack or block, and Cryptolith Rite is useless if I have no creatures on the battlefield, whereas Enduring Vitality actually does something, on its own.

AlistarFiend, you are very welcome, and I am very glad that you appreciated my suggestion!

Would you consider either Butcher of Malakir or Markov Purifier for this deck? I also would recommend Swords to Plowshares instead of Path to Exile, unless you do not wish for your opponents to gain life, when playing this deck.

Crow_Umbra, yes, that is what I presumed, as well, and his articles are still most excellent, even if they are abbreviated, recently, so I am very glad that he is still writing and posting them.

I am a frequent reader of EDHREC.com, and one of its regular columns is The Over/Under, written by Kyle Massa, who reviews the popularity of legendary creatures in each new set, but, when he began that column, he would provide a detailed review of each creature, whereas he now mentions only several examples, which bothers me, since I appreciated his original practice of giving a detailed review of each creature; did he eventually decide that it was too difficult to give a detailed review of each creature?

What does everyone else say, about this? Does anyone here have any insight into this matter? I would certainly appreciate any feedback that you can offer.

griffstick, the vault is one of my favorite utility lands, as well, but I agree that it does not need to be put into every deck that supports its colors.

RiotRunner789, the vault would be useful in my Tariel deck, to help destroy my opponents' creatures, enabling my to take them, with Tariel, but I do not believe that that deck has a sufficient focus on tokens or creatures overall to justify its inclusion, in that deck.

I have copies of Vault of the Archangel in several of my EDH decks, and that cards makes sense in my Liesa, Shroud of Dusk deck, but I am less certain if it works with the themes of my Sen Triplets or Tariel, Reckoner of Souls decks.

What does everyone else say, about this subject? Does Vault of the Archangel make sense in my Sen Triplets or Tariel decks, or should I replace it?

I have replaced Brainbite and Thought Collapse with Deny the Witch and Dimir Guildmage, which reduced the average converted mana cost of this deck from 3.82 to 3.81 and also improved the color balance of this deck; I almost chose Disallow instead of DtW, but I felt that DtW was too good to not put into this deck, as it better suits the deck's theme.

I have replaced Planar Genesis with Duskmantle Guildmage, as I believe that the latter card better suits the theme of this deck.

I personally feel that planes with higher levels of technological development, such as Mirrodin, Avishkar (formerly Kaladesh), Ravnica, Capenna, and, now, Kamigawa, are too far from traditional high fantasy for this game, but I do appreciate WotC taking chances and ensuring that not every plane feels too similar to each other, and I can even tolerate Aertherdrift, if only begrudgingly so, but I feel that the upcoming Edge of Eternity set is going simply too far; previous sets have dabbled in science fiction, but EoE is full-out science fiction/space fantasy, which I feel clashes with the previously-established tone of this franchise (I am not counting the Warhammer 40,000 set, as it used content from another franchise); I understand that, with the multiverse having a theoretically infinite number of planes, some shall have greater levels of technological develop than do others, but how can one reconcile the fact that planes such as Amonkhet (which is modeled after ancient Egypt), Theros (which is modeled after ancient Greece), and Eldraine (which is modeled after medieval England) can exist in the same universe as a set that is essentially exploring outer space? Why not make Space: the Convergence a reality, instead?

What does everyone else say, about this? Do you believe that Edge of Eternity is going too far into science fiction and/or space fantasy territory? I certainly am interested to hear your thoughts, on this matter.

I see that two new deities are suddenly present on Amonkhet, despite there being no mention of them, before, so does that bother anyone else? I have not yet read the story for Aetherdrift, so, perhaps that explains their origins, but I still dislike the sudden addition of very major characters, who previously had not been mentioned; where were they when the Gatewatch was battling Bolas, or when Phyrexia invaded? This is very similar to Aurelia suddenly appearing, when Feather was stated to be the last remaining Boros angel, when Klothys appeared after Elspeth defeated Xenagos, despite there being no mention of her (Klothys) in the original Theros block, and merfolk suddenly appearing on Ravnica, despite there being no mention of them in the original block, on that plane, either.

What does everyone else say, about this? How are there suddenly two new gods on Amonkhet, and does their existence annoy you?

Not everyone may remember that the very first Star Wars film was entitled simply "Star Wars" when it was initially released, as George Lucas did not add the subtitle of "Episode IV: a New Hope" until production on The Empire Strikes Back had begun, and he chose for it to be the fourth chapter of the story so that fans would feel as if they had entered the story in the middle of an ongoing epic saga, and his tactic worked, because fans did eventually wish to see the first three episodes of the story, which led to the production of the prequel trilogy, whose reception was mixed, at best (although, as a side note, I believe that the prequels are not as terrible as many people initially believed them to be; they are still not as good as are the originals, but they certainly are better than the sequels), but I wonder how different the story would have been if the original trilogy had been episodes, I, II, and III. In this alternate history scenario, when Lucas decided to produce new Star Wars films, during the late 1990's, there would have been no demand or desire for a prequel trilogy, so what would Lucas have done, instead? My guess is that he could have make direct adaptations of Timothy Zhan's Thrawn trilogy, as the actors from the original trilogy would have been the proper ages to have reprised their roles, although he may have wished to tell his own stories, instead.

What does everyone else say about this? How different would Star Wars have been if A New Hope had been episode I, instead of episode IV? I certainly am very interested to hear your thoughts and speculation, on this matter!

wallisface, Bookrook, if I had room for both cards in that deck, I would put them in it, but I do not, and I believe that the creature is worth the 1 additional mana over the enchantment; I certainly appreciate your feedback, and I also do wish for my deck to be efficient, but I also wish to express myself through my decks, and I believe that Enduring Vitality helps me to do that.

January 27, 2025 4:07 p.m.

Having just seen the new version of Nosferatu (as well as the original 1922 film and the 1979 remake), I must give this deck an upvote!

Would you consider Verrak, Warped Sengir in place of Vampire of the Dire Moon, given that he clearly was modeled after count Orlok, or would that be simply too much of an increase in this deck's mana curve?

I appreciate the feedback that everyone here has given me, and I admit that my question was a rather broad one, since no two decks that I have are exactly the same, so it would be wrong to use a "one size fits all" approach to them, so it would be better to examine each deck individually, instead.

I have 10 two-colored 60-card decks, and I have eight dual lands in each of those decks: four copies of the appropriately-colored shocklands (i.e., Godless Shrinefoil, Sacred Foundryfoil, and so forth) and four copies of the appropriately-colored "checklands" (i.e., Glacial Fortress, Hinterland Harbor, and do forth), but I am wondering if I should put additional dual lands into those decks, such as the "slow lands" from Innistrad (i.e., Shattered Sanctum, Sundown Pass, and so forth) or the filter lands from Shadowmoor and Eventide (i.e., Cascade Bluffs, Rugged Prairie, and so forth), or if eight dual lands are sufficient, for each deck.

What does everyone else say, about this subject? Should I put additional dual lands into my 60-card decks, or are eight dual lands sufficient, for each deck?

shadow63, actually, it does, since the general of this deck (i.e., The Mimeoplasm) uses all players' graveyards as resources.

wallisface, there are two reasons for which I would choose Enduring Vitality over Cryptolith Rite: first, it is a creature itself, which gives it excellent synergy with my creature-focused Ghried deck, and, second, it has self-recursion, which I feel makes it easily worth 1 additional mana over the non-creature enchantment; does that not make sense?

wallisface, as long as we are discussing my Ghired, Conclave Exilefoil deck, I would like to put Enduring Vitality into that deck, but I am not certain what card I should replace; I have decided that I shall remove either Commander's Sphere or Decanter of Endless Water to make room for the creature, but which of those artifacts do you believe is less crucial to my deck?

I could also replace Countermand with the amalgam, but that card contributes directly to the theme of this deck, so I am not certain if I wish to replace it.

I have an EDH deck with The Mimeoplasm as its general, and I would like to put a copy of Overcharged Amalgam into that deck, as that card would definitely work with that deck's theme, but I am not certain of what card I should remove, to make room, for it.

I could replace Voidslime, since the amalgam has the same effect as that card, but that would increase this deck's mana curve, and I also am considering replacing Recoil, since that card is only acceptable, at best, but that would also raise this deck's mana curve, but none of the cards that cost 4 mana in this deck are cards that I wish to remove, so I may not be able to put the amalgam into this deck, after all.

What does everyone else say, about this? How can I put overcharged amalgam into my Mimeoplasm deck? I certainly would appreciate any suggestions that anyone here can offer.
