Originally started playing Magic: the Gathering casually with a few friends about when the first Mirrodin set was released. Stopped for awhile after graduating high school, as my playgroup was at other universities or in the army. Met an incredible Mexican woman, who I would have loved to marry. She died very suddenly from cancer that she had no signs of or knowledge of until three months before her death. I started going to my local comic shop (A-1 Comics) because I could not take being alone with my thoughts. Started drafting because I had no standard legal deck, and have been drafting and playing casually since. I have an autoimmune disease that has worsened to the point of being so disabling I've been forced to move back with my parents for help. Life has not been so great, and Magic has been a much needed source of fun and interaction. Although I'm not always well enough to, I try to make it to FNM for the draft and the people.
