so the primary focus of the deck is to build as intimidating a board state as possible and continuously BEAT ASS WITH IT ALL DAY LONG. you have supplementary strategies that make it so you don't care whether or not your tokens die in combat (Blood Artist

, etc.). blocking won't be in their favor as you have so many keyword abilities on all of your creatures that they may as well wait for a boardwipe to answer them. Boardwipes are plenty in this deck as well because Zurgo laughs at them (certain entries, such as Toxic Deluge are there to answer bigger threats such as other indestructible fatties like Avacyn, Angel of Hope and the one-shot-robot, Blightsteel Colossus). In game, you make tokens and build a board state, playing weapons as you go and only playing Zurgo when you have the means to protect him, swing for benefit with him and possibly 1 shot a player (double strike is PRETTY nasty with him winkwonk).
here are some combos to use on table:
Assault Suit + Zurgo Helmsmasher
- This one just oozes fun. everyone gets a turn with him, he can't be sacrificed, he's indestructible, and he's swinging for 9 on each turn. best part is that he can't hit you! couple this with Swiftfoot Boots and he's not going anywhere so easily.
Worldslayer + Zurgo Helmsmasher
- This one will scare the bejeezus out of anyone. basically, you connect with zurgo one time and you win. there's no coming from a hit like this. you wipe out everything but your commander and worldslayer if you get a direct hit. so....Game 2?
(insert creature name here) + Sunforger
- This card basically tells everyone at the table that you always have an answer to anything. tutor out literally any instant from your library (no, really, i've built the deck so it grabs anything i want, no hitch) and play it immediately. "in response to declare attackers, i un-attach Sunforger and Drop Crackling Doom to make you sac your voltron general. take that Uril you piece of shit!" (i really don't like him...)

- multiplying damage to all opposing players every time your turn rolls around and noone wants to kill any of it because you get more cards from it. Your life total is negligible if you just kill everyone before you die, amirite?(P.S.- this is also supplemented by TONS OF LIFELINK, see Whip of Erebos, Vault of the Archangel, etc.)
FAQ's from people about certain cards
Q: Why Praetor's Grasp?
A: Why NOT Praetor's Grasp? it's taking your opponents best card at worst. it's taking the one answer/ card you really need at the time at best and that's usually EVERY TIME. it's no Demonic Tutor but i'm not made of money unfortunately.
Q: What about the other swords? why just those 3?
A: see last line of previous question. extra info is that they still cover all 5 colors so i have all of the protection i want still.
