Cards that are usually good in every commander deck
Things to remember:
Mana Rocks: CMC 2 is best. Signet, and talismans. CMC 3 should give any color mana for 3+ colors or 2+ mana for 1-2 colors.
Removal: CMC 2 is going rate for removal (usually creature). Anything less is good anything more should do more. Counterspells are removal, but shouldn't be the only removal.
Mana Dorks: Should be CMC 2 or less for 1 mana or CMC 3-4 for added effect unless in non ramping colors, then take what you can get. Use sparingly.

- Shock Lands (Allied and Enemy)
- Any Color Lands (Command Tower, City of Brass, Mana Confluence)
- Filter Lands (Allied and Enemy) *Expensive
