Long time MTG player (since 2001) and I have been hooked to EDH since I got into it circa 2011. I really enjoy the MTG community and love providing feedback to others who need help with decks, and will always listen to criticisms of my own decks.
I don’t know why people say a double-edged sword is bad. It’s a sword with two edges.” -Kamahl, Pit Fighter
~Physical Decks~
Kamahl, Pit Fighter -Primer- Probably my all-time favorite MTG character at the helm of a balls-to-the-wall red deck with artifacts. Trying to untap & tap as much stuff as possible. Bolt everything with Kamahl, pull of the combo, or just finagle some super RED way to win. It's playing cards like Decree of Annihilation or Final Fortune that are the reasons we play MAGIC. Built this in early 2018.
The Queen's Booty! (Grixis Pirates) [[Primer]] I always wanted to build a deck around this Marchesa. Usually one will build a deck around a card they get in a pack, but for me I was there when my buddy popped a foil one from a box we opened and just knew I wanted to build it eventually. Cue Ixalan in all it's glory (and when I was dissatisfied with Admiral Beckett Brass as the commander) it was meant to be. The right colors for pirates AND a way to abuse ETBs. Perfect.
Grimgrin, Corpse-Born My version of zombies. Probably between this and elves (slivers?) as the oldest and most classic tribal decks in MTG. Graveyard shenanigans ensue!
Livin' Life on the Dredge My lands matter deck. Loved Gitrog ever since he was spoiled as many others also did. Pretty combo and one of the strongest decks I own.
The Law of Nature This deck started as a Tiny Leader back in 2015 and grew to a full-fledged EDH deck when I realized how filthy his ability is. The biggest hurdle to overcome is usually reloading the hand (in mono-green) to keep the engine going. Lately more and more green draw has been coming out though which helps.
Feather, Jank Redeemed One of those rare occasions where I was actually reading the first Ravnica Book, got to the part with Feather, and that day she was spoiled to the masses. Plus I'm a Boros guy at heart. So this was a no-brainer. Also, one of the rare occasions where I owned all the cards. Tons of instant shenanigans and fun to play!
The Anti-Azorius Babe of Fury A huge gimmicky voltron deck that has all white & blue hate cards. Some land destruction. Reckless. Lots of fun (but make sure you're playing with people who are OK with the land destruction). Embrace it folks!
Mageta the Lion This is the second iteration I've attempted of this commander over the years. The first go around was real rough since we all know how badly White suffers from card draw. Now, mono-white lands matter!
The Sin of Gluttony One of my newest brews. All about food with the usual black/green sacrificing.
Jor-Kadoo & 21 Skidoo Big Bad Boros Boi. So simple yet so savage. Metalcraftin' our way to wins!
The Final Countdown **PRIMER** Always wanted to make a deck around an Unhinged/Unglued/Unstable commander and so I finally did. I've also never built a Rakdos deck before so this was a fun exercise.
The Quick and The Dead A mid-range aggro voltron deck helmed by Skullbriar. Really fast and packs a punch, but struggles against decks with tons of removal.
Eureka, a combo! A "janky" combo deck to combat other combo decks from my meta. Lots of fun to pull off "Hivepact" or Star of Extinction + Resurrection.
~Budget Brews (Physical)~
Planes, Trains & Automobiles (Depala) Cracked enough packs with vehicles along with Depala back during Kaladesh & Aether Revolt, I was too tempted to just go for it. Boros + Artifacts, low-mid tier power.
Slimefoot <$30 NO RARES OR MYTHICS Challenge implemented by my playgroup--we also picked eachother's commanders. One of the more fun brewing challenges I've ever done!
Mishra, Artificer Prodigy Janky AF. Looking to improve and meddle with more. Early stages of development.
Dionysus and The Party People (Gallia) <$50 Gruul card draw. Down n' dirty combat fun. A smidge of hug and chaos involved the way the Greek Gods would have wanted it.
