I love Oji, but, every time I've tried to play him I've not gotten the value off him I want, even with cantrips. So, I could definitely see that being a good cut!

Charming Prince- blinks, scrys, and can create loops with other blinkers.

Yorion, Sky Nomad - blink birb

Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward - blink man that synergizes well with other parts of your deck ala Anointed Procession

Brago, King Eternal - King Blink

Ichor Wellspring - Generic card advantage that plays to the overall gameplan

Emry, Lurker of the Loch - artifact recursion/enables Lotus Petal loops with Displacer Kitten and something like Greaves or TY Elixer if you want to build in a combo

Lotus Petal - great value for 0 that plays to the gameplan and can be replayed fairly easily for mana advantage

Ephemerate - a sneaky instant that gets us value off blink payoffs while serving as a protection spell against targeted removal

Displacer Kitten - a combo engine that actually makes this deck just pop off

Crow_Umbra I definitely agree with Goldberserkerdragon that Hashaton can absolutely be taken in a busted direction, if your friend intends to build to that level. Can also be a super cool, "I'm never actually going to cast any creatures, just reanimate them and make a ton of zombies" deck.

pyrophyte after staying up half the night to think about it and play out deck scenarios, I think you're right. I don't think it's actually worth. It absolutely can create some excellent value, but, shutting off my ability to wheel for 60 damage in a turn is pretty bad. I'm going to shift Chains of Mephistopheles over to my Konrad deck and use this slot for either Snapcaster Mage or Withering Torment. Leaning on Torment, as of this moment.

Thanks for the feedback! I always appreciate when someone can challenge something I take for granted and make me think. Especially when they use my own reasoning against me! Haha!

pyrophyte This was a deck that once ran Library of Leng. Perhaps I should consider it again. However, I generally don't employ Chains until I'm sure I'm going to be able to leverage it. There's an argument for being down to a single card per turn, but, theoretically, if I'm playing it correctly, I should be in a position to hold up a counterspell or removal while keeping everyone else to the same limit- which puts me ahead, if I'm dealing significant damage each turn, just for existing, regardless of being able to break parity. In that regard, it's a very similar philosophy to a well played Stasis. If you don't use it correctly, it can absolutely screw you, but, when done right, it can be back breaking for the rest of the table.

pyrophyte it actually doesn't shut off the commander! So, Chains checks to see if it's the first card being drawn for turn- if it isn't, you first discard a card and then you draw a card. So, it actually synergizes incredibly well with all the discard payoffs I have, as well as Nekusar and the other draw punishments in the deck. I would likely just not play Chains if I'm intending to wheel immediately after. It's more there for the instance where I'm not wheeling and looking for recurring value over time.
